This album is for cross stitched pieces, any size or color, on the theme of Spring and Summer but not intended for a quilt, card, or bookmark. When you are finished please post a photo of your work, if possible, otherwise ask Peggy to do it for you. Send your piece to Peggy.

Our new project, Holiday Cards, could be called Christmas in July (and any other holidays in Dec-Jan of course).

What could be better than stitching cool holiday motifs in hot July?  We have opened a new category, Holiday Cards, so that with our already open Holiday charm quilt, WOCS can provide more opportunities and reasons for stitching this summer. 

Each piece should have a Holiday motif centered on it; for the charm pieces, please stitch on 6” x 6” squares of white, cream or off white Aida.   Each motif should be no bigger than 3 1/2” x 3 1/2” or 49 stitches by 49 stitches if 14 ct.  For cards, any color or count Aida or even weave sized to fit on a 4 x 5 or 4 x 6 card face.

No sign up required.  When you get a few pieces stitched, send them to Peggy-address in our files section.

Charm quilt will need 25, 5 1/2” x 5 1/2” squares of cream or off white Aida with the design centered on them. The design can use any colors, each motif should be no bigger than 3 1/2” x 3 1/2” or about 49 stitches by 49 stitches if using 14 ct. When finished send to Peggy. No sign ups, no target date.

This album is for bookmarks which can be any size or color but each one needs a full cross stitch border around your design, leaving at least six squares around the entire bookmark for unraveling purposes! If there is not sufficient fabric to finish the bookmark, it can't be used.

Special project to use charm packs needs 5 1/2” x 5 1/2” squares of white, off white, or cream Aida with some Holiday motifs centered on them. Each motif should be no bigger than 3 ½” x 3 1/2” or 49 stitches by 49 stitches if using 14 ct. When finished send to Peggy. No sign ups, no target date.

New charm quilt:  Summer Fun in the Sun.  Please stitch your pieces on at least 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 fabric dimensions. This gives enough room to cut the fabric pieces to make the quilt. You can stitch on whatever fabric or color you like.  We will need at least 25 pieces to make a charm quilt. There is no sign up or target date. When we get enough pieces, a quilt will be made.  Have fun stitching.
